Karte-cho

Original policy last updated: 27 September 2026

These terms set out the conditions for using the iOS/iPadOS app Karte-cho (the “app”) provided by StackWorks (the “developer”). Using the app constitutes acceptance of these terms. Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.

1. What the app does

The app records and summarizes salon client information, service records, photos, consultation sheets and consent forms. It does not accept bookings or automatically contact clients.

2. User responsibilities

  • Users (salons) are responsible for handling recorded clients’ personal information in accordance with laws, including Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
  • Consent forms, consultation sheets and message templates are samples. Users are responsible for reviewing and editing them to suit their services, policies and legal requirements.
  • Analysis figures and suggested return dates are estimates calculated from recorded data.
  • Users must manage their device passcode, app lock and backup password. The developer cannot restore a backup if its password is forgotten.

3. Data

Data is stored on the user’s device and in the user’s own iCloud; the developer does not receive it. Regular backups are recommended to prepare for data loss.

4. Karte-cho Pro

The Karte-cho Pro in-app purchase is purchased once through the App Store and can be used on devices with the same Apple Account and by family members through Family Sharing. Apple’s rules govern purchases and refunds. Features available without Pro will not be restricted later.

5. Prohibited use

Using the app for purposes that violate laws or public order, infringing others’ rights, and analyzing, modifying or redistributing the app are prohibited.

6. Disclaimer

The developer does not guarantee that the app meets a user’s particular purpose or is free from defects. Except in cases of the developer’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the developer is not liable for damage arising from use of the app.

7. Changes

The developer may change these terms. Revised terms take effect when published on this page.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Japanese law.
